Working Momma Diaries: Traditions as Presents for the Holidays

This post is sponsored by The Hamilton Collection, but all opinions are my own.

Now that we have children, we are trying to build our collection of Christmas collectibles to give to them once they start their own families. Our parents did this for both my husband and me (how cool is that?) with Santas, ornaments, and nativities. I'd like to share my childhood love of Precious Moments figurines that I collected as a kiddo with my daughter by collecting NEW ones to pass down with my old collection once she starts her own family.

Did you collect anything when you were a child? Or, maybe your parents did for you? I think it's such an interesting phenomenon that we as parents can look for physical things to document the moments we spend with our kiddos, it's almost like giving them a piece of the past that connects us to their future.

That's why I'm so excited about the Precious Moment's Hamilton Collection. These pieces reflect the simple moments we spend together as families - be it watching and cheering on sports teams, or in the case of the one I have, sharing holiday traditions like watching Christmas movies together. One of our family favorites is "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." I'm going to store these in my daughter's memory chest and display each one I get during the season it represents. In this example, I'll put the holiday one out on our mantle during the holidays!

We have a small Precious Moments collection started already, including Adelaide's Baptism Bible

One of my favorites from the Hamilton collection, representing her favorite holiday movie "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

Part of the reason I want to collect these Precious Moments figurines is that they are each one-of-a-kind pieces of art, handcrafted, hand-painted, and they're something for my kid's to enjoy forever. You can select specific pieces to reflect their personalities or moments that you both will never forget which makes them a unique present. Finally, the Hamilton Collection is filled with rare collector's quality items based on our favorite pop culture icons and life moments. Each figurine comes with a Certificate of Authenticity that has a special number that matches the hand-painted number on the figurine! You can order them online and they ship in VERY, VERY secure packaging, right to your house!

What family traditions do you think of as it gets closer to the holidays??

XO,
