Working Momma Diaries: Convenient Nursery Art

This article expresses my own personal review. I was compensated to write this post.

Y'all know how much I love decorating, so I am excited to reveal a part of Baby Boy's new nursery to everyone today! We were inspired by the great outdoors, starlit evenings and as Adelaide calls them, "ani-maaaals," so we put up wallpaper with stars over a tribal-like / jungle-like decor.

I've been very intentional about adding more color into our home recently and after putting together Adelaide's toddler room, wanted something equally bold for our new son's room. I scoured Pinterest and the inter-webs and finally came across a simple crib, some fun wall-paper from Target and amazing art pieces from Minted. My mom is currently working on a handmade quilt to replace this blanket we got during our engagement in Mexico, but for now, I love how it adds a pop of color to the neutral hues.

So when looking for some fun art for the walls, I started looking around for places where I could print art out and get it framed. Minted kept popping up. I was slightly surprised because I usually shopped at Minted only for Christmas and Holiday cards. But I knew their quality is amazing so I was eager to explore their art and decor pieces. They have wall art, graphic designs and overlays, murals, throw and floor pillows and even tents and stools! They even have specific nursery art! I was surprised at how many options they had and equally pleased that they run sales regularly and even offer framing and matting so all you need to do is place the order and wait to hang it up.

One of the best parts of shopping on the Minted website was that they have a full nursery art and kids (and even teen) section and a filter for art that matches. I knew I wanted 2-3 images of jungle-like scenes but was slightly overwhelmed by all the options when I first clicked on 'nursery art.' Luckily, I was able to navigate to the 'art that matches' page and find a variety of pieces that I personally would not have thought to put together, displayed next to each other. The website is so easy to use, the only difficult decision was what size to get! I ended up purchasing two 18x24 posters and one 16x20 and went and framed them myself. Minted also does custom framing and matting, too!! You can choose if the art is full page (like I did) or if you want it to be fitted so when you add matting, the photo is not covered. In hind site, I wish I did the fitted option, but this just means I got bigger pictures, ha!

I really am in love with the brightness and boldness of the animal prints (one tiger and one leopard) and a scenic view of bamboo leaves. Since I choose to get my own frames, in a natural wood, to match the other wooden accents we were peppering around the nursery, the process took a little bit longer. Next time, I think I'll just have Minted matte and frame them to save me all the time #outsourcing for the win!!

I'm so in love with these pieces that I also purchased 2 more color dot pictures for our play room. I'll have to share those soon, too!!

Where do you get your frames and prints from??

XO,

KB
