Working Momma Diaries: Adelaide's 2nd Birthday Re-cap

I love parties. I love planning them, hosting them, shopping for them and dreaming about them. I think there is magic in creating an experience when someone walks in the door and I truly have FUN pulling that together.

This year, I wanted to throw something super vibrant, colorful and meaningful for Adelaide's 2nd birthday. She has a few favorite things: moose, cats, puppies, tea parties, any fruit and swimming. I decided to focus on her love of fruit and throw her a "Two-Tti-Fruitti" birthday.

We pulled together a menu of fruity goodness including watermelon pops, my staple cheese board and veggie platters, and fruit punch. I found these colorful sunglasses and pineapple glasses so everyone could take a bit of the magic home, too.

The Coop helped me pull together so many of the tiny details - table cloths, napkins, forks to cake stands to make this one of the easiest parties we have held yet! The Confetti Bar added some sparkle to the table! And being almost 7 months pregnant I also looking for brands to help outsource some of the more labor intensive set up and was blown away. Dream Bakery made the most stunning cake and cookies for our guests. They were gluten-free AND delicious. Blenders & Bowls made toddler and adult friendly acai bowls to go along with our fruit theme! Keel Vodka, helped all the parents out by offering some delicious lemonade vodka mixed drinks. Airy Balloons came in to help on the decor front, building the most spectacular fruit balloon arch to highlight the cake and photo-ops. Finally, Jenna from Creatrix Photography helped us to capture all of our special memories by taking photos of all of the fun, friends and family present and joy of the day.
